Table Cloth

Posted on 12th January 2012 in KLothz

This is very simple, It’s just a square shape and does not need a very powerful sewing machine. My Brother BM-3600 can handle this easy sewing. But the issue is with the fabric. It was polyester satin look fabric. Hard to understand how to sew it as it may be crumpled in some parts but I didn’t really care as it was just for my bedroom and nobody will see them so often. I just wanted to cover my table and cabinet and prevent it form scratches. I’m going to make another table cloths just in case i need to wash the current one.

These are the cabinet and dressing table cloth, simple and squarish, easy to cut, easy to sew… I just added up 2 lines of red ribbon to make it more oriental style. But, the edges sewing were crumpling. It still look good though. :b

Custom-made dress for VEM

Posted on 24th June 2011 in KLothz

Since I got my new sewing machine. I have been trying to free my self from working too much but still I couldn’t get enough time for using my tempting machine. Thought of sewing something for myself. And then, Ria’s baby was delivered, it’s a rabbit year baby. Whooaahh… it’s time for me for trial and error.. hohoho…

Although, it is not so perfect but it is my 1st dress after so many years never touched mama’s sewing machine. I got the top’s measurement from the internet but tried to match roughly the bottom after that and it looks good. There are linings for the top and no lining for the bottom cos it will make the whole dress too thick to wear in Singapore weather. I was trying to look for the letter “E” and “M” with nice and bright color for about few weeks but couldn’t really find nice ones, so, I decided to use flower buttons to create them to become Valeri’s initial as per her daddy’s request. Anyway, The size is too small.. hohoho… I made another simpler one. ^.^ ohh.. where is the pic?? hmmmm .. *scratching head*…

I still remember very clearly that I used to use my Mama’s old sewing machine which I had to use both legs to step on the big pedal just to make it works. The feeling was different when using that old machine. Sometimes I spoilt the machine till Mama had to repair it by herself…woooo, Super Mama who repairs sewing machine. It’s still in our home sweet home. It has drawers to keep shears, needles, some small cloths, threads, etc.

Guess what, I already have so many things in my mind to sew… hehehe… and so excited to book the class tomorrow.

THANX AGAIN!!!!
